I saw a great t shirt slogan for bikers
which i think is quite apt
as i think we all act like twat's sometimes
Designed by a genius
built by experts
ridden by a twat
The same came be applied to drivers of vehicles with more than two wheels

not a bit surprised ..
After visiting friends near CAMBRIDGE (a three hour run usually) we set out back to
base my other half was driving this was 5 oclock saturday 4th of feb ..
It started snowing as we got to the A47 and got thicker and thicker
by the time we got past LEICESTER to the M1 an hour later the
snow was pretty deep and we only just got up the slip road ..
There were snow ploughs out on the A47 and M1 but the snow kept coming down
progress was slow on the A50 with most people driving as they should but just after
the turn off at the island for uttoxeter we thought we were doing ok until 2 articulated
trucks went thundering past at such a speed the snow was shooting
out from their wheels like a snow plough one truck behind the other
and my exact words to my other half were "what the f--k do they think are they doing"
by the time we got to the next island no more than a couple of minutes everything had stopped
well the island was blocked and guess who had blocked it ?? yes the two trucks
we were lucky enough to do a u turn to the right in front of the island (yes i know its illegal to do this)
we decided to take a chance and head back in the deep snow to the uttoxeter turn
where we slid our way through staffordshire we only had a problem on 1 hill near stone..
i have always felt safe while the other half drives but seeing her manage this journey
i have even more faith in her driving .. yes she rides a motorcycle as well and i
believe that riding a bike makes you more aware on the road..
Eventually we got to the M6 turn and on to the M6 north
the rest of the journey was ok and we got home at 11 O CLOCK thanks to those two drivers
who thought they knew what they were doing.
news the next day was that most people stuck behind the blockage spent 10 hours with their cars
luckily we were very close to the island and we knew which route to take
or we would have been stuck there with those unfortunate people
its a shame i never had my camera on (i usually have a video camera on for long journeys
one on the bike and one in the car
but as it was dark i did not turn it on (lesson learnt) as it would have made good evidence
for the people who were stuck to get some form of recompense for the truckers reckless driving
thank you whoever you are you showed just how amazing truck drivers are ...
INSURANCE BOLLOCKS
What a bloody swizz insurance is anyway
the insurance companies are raking it in
I have a car and a bike but the bike gives the most satisfaction
I have comprehensive insurance which is £74.00 per year
(you may be able to get a citroen c2 biscuit tin for £30 tax
but the insurance is not cheap)
my bike insurance is a quarter of the cost of car insurance
road tax £52.00 per year
And a minimum 55mpg
no car is that cheap to run
CAR VERSUS BIKE
REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE STUCK IN THAT QUEUE
IN THE HOT WEATHER WITH YOU'RE ARSE STUCK TO THE SEAT ?
WELL I WAS PROBABLY THAT BIKER THAT WENT STRAIGHT PAST
AS YOU WERE STEWING IN YOUR OWN SHITE

TO them that LIKE TO HAVE 4 WHEELS ON THE ROAD
dont feel pity for biker's in the rain .. "we dont need it"
the gear we wear is top stuff and is fully waterproof and warm
all we ask is you watch what you're doing while you
Tune the radio
Fiddle with sat nav
Pick your nose
Light a fag
Scratch you're arse
Eat and drink
Some driver's can probably do all these things and more at the same time...
so THE QUESTION IS
Who concentrates more while negotiating our crappy overcrowded roads ???

Stop throwing you're shite out of the window ..
There are enough road markings and pot holes to negotiate while riding
WITHOUT YOU MAKING IT WORSE
DESPITE THE MENTALITY OF SOME ALLEGED DRIVERS
ITS STILL A GREAT FEELING TO RIDE A BIKE
I CLASS IT AS A CHALLENGE TO RIDE IN PEAK TRAFFIC
THROUGH ANY TOWN OR CITY CENTER STRAIGHT PAST YOU,RE CAR WHILE YOU STEW ..
I REST MY CASE ... FOR THE MOMENT
